I’ve never been one to be easily fooled by beauty. Despite the outer shell and various pretty symbols that you’ll see on every slot machine, underneath it all, they’re all the same. From Dale Earnhardt Racer Slots to Spooky Slots to Blazing 7’s, the same basic rules of slots apply to all these devices, no matter how ‘fancy dancy’ they look.
It’s important that the graphics, displays or the apparent complexity of some slot machines doesn’t overwhelm you. What does matter, and what should be very important to you is to understand what the various symbols do, what they pay and under which winning combinations.
The Basic Rules of Slot Machine Operations
Usually you put in a coin or two (often up to 45 coins per pull) in the slot provided, and then pull the handle (or push the button) and wait as the reels spin. If the ‘pay’ symbols are lined up when the reels stop spinning, you win. Otherwise, you lose. Payoffs are usually determined by the hierarchical scale that’s clearly charted on the machine’s pay-chart display (usually at eye level).
My most important bit of advice to you with regard to the rules of slots is that before you play, look at the payoff display screen on the machine and carefully read ALL the information that is available there. This should explain clearly what rules and payouts are applicable for the particular game.
